About Patient Navigation

What is a patient navigator?

A patient navigator is a trained professional who helps patients and families navigate the complex healthcare system. They provide emotional support, coordinate care, assist with communication, and help overcome barriers to treatment.

How much does patient navigation cost?

Our services are offered on a sliding scale based on ability to pay. We work with individuals, families, and partner organizations to ensure cost is never a barrier to receiving support. Contact us to discuss options.

Do I need a referral to work with a navigator?

No referral is necessary. You can contact us directly to request a patient navigator. However, many of our clients are referred by physicians, hospitals, or social workers.

Cancer Support Services

Is the #MovingBeyondPink program only for breast cancer?

While Moving Beyond Pink originated from breast cancer advocacy, our cancer support services are available for all cancer types. We provide navigation for breast, prostate, colon, lung, and other cancers.

Can you help with financial assistance for treatment?

We provide guidance on available financial resources, assistance programs, and help with insurance navigation. While we don't provide direct financial aid, we connect patients with organizations and programs that do.

Do you provide transportation to appointments?

We can help coordinate transportation through our partner network. We work with organizations that provide transportation assistance and help families explore local options.
